Workforce Preparation Teacher Grant

Greensburg, IN – The Economic Development Corporation of Greensburg–Decatur County (EDC) is now accepting applications for the annual Decatur County Workforce Preparation Teacher Grant Program.

This initiative supports local educators who are helping students explore and prepare for future careers in Decatur County. Grants of up to $1,000 will be awarded to Pre-K through 12th-grade teachers for innovative classroom projects, fi eld experiences, or professional development activities that connect students to real-world workforce opportunities.

“Our teachers play a vital role in shaping the future workforce of our community,” said Emma Luttel, Project Coordinator for the EDC. “These grants are designed to give them extra resources to create hands-on, career-focused learning experiences that help students discover local opportunities and develop valuable skills.”

  • Who Can Apply: Any active Pre-K–12 educator in Decatur County, Indiana
  • Award Amount: Up to $2,500 per project
  • Application Window: November 1 – November 30, 2025
  • Notification of Awards: By December 21, 2025
  • Follow-Up Report Due: November 2026

Funds may be used for classroom materials, student-led projects, career exploration activities, competitions, or professional development directly tied to workforce readiness.

Applications must be received or postmarked by November 30, 2025.
